Kathmandu: Hon. Minister for Foreign Affairs Shisir Khanal held a telephone conversation with the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Australia Penny Wong on August 28.
During the call, Minister Wong conveyed her heartfelt condolences for the loss of lives caused by the disaster and reaffirmed the Australian Government’s readiness to extend all possible assistance to Nepal during this time of difficulty.
Minister Khanal expressed his sincere gratitude to Minister Wong and, through her, to the Government and people of Australia for their solidarity, particularly at this hour of need. Minister Khanal added that the Government of Nepal is utilizing all resources at its disposal for the search, rescue and relief efforts for all those affected.
