Kathmandu: UN ECOSOC President H.E. Lok Bahadur Thapa was delighted to meet H.E. Pemmy Majodina, Minister of Water and Sanitation of South Africa.
President Thapa appreciated South Africa’s leadership in advancing the global water agenda and preparations for the 2026 UN Water Conference. President Thapa and Minister Majodina held discussions on the importance of mobilizing investments, technology transfer, supporting innovation and capacity-building to accelerate progress on SDG 6.
They also exchanged views on climate-resilient water action and strengthening partnerships to advance the 2030 Agenda.
