Kathmandu: Hon. Minister for Foreign Affairs Mr Shisir Khanal held a telephone conversation with Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs of the United States of America Ms Allison Hooker on May 28.
During the conversation, the Under Secretary of State congratulated him for assuming the Office of Foreign Minister and conveyed the US Government’s commitment to work closely with the Government of Nepal.
Hon. Minister Khanal expressed his appreciation for the message of congratulations and conveyed sincere gratitude on behalf of the Government of Nepal to the US Government for the continued cooperation in Nepal’s overall development. Likewise, he also shared with the Under Secretary of State the Government’s priority of good governance and economic growth through investments in infrastructure, energy, tourism and digital technology.
Under Secretary of State appreciated on behalf of the US Government Nepal’s priority of national development and affirmed US support in the process.
Hon. Foreign Minister and the Under Secretary of State discussed the eight-decade long cooperative relations between Nepal and the United States and reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening cooperation at bilateral and multilateral levels for mutual benefit.
