Kathmandu: Shisir Khanal, Hon. Minister for Foreign Affairs, met with H.E. Dharambeer Gokhool, President of Mauritius, and First Lady Brinda Gokhool during the Minister’s coastal adaptation site visit in Funafuti, Tuvalu.
Recalling his first official visit to Mauritius as Foreign Minister, they reaffirmed the enduring friendship between the two countries.
The Minister and Mauritius President exchanged perspectives on the shared vulnerabilities confronting small island developing states and mountainous nations, committing to close cooperation for climate action. They also discussed other areas of mutual interest including labour cooperation, trade and cultural exchanges.
