Kathmandu: Hon. Foreign Minister Shisir Khanal received a telephone call from Foreign Minister of Malaysia, Dato’ Seri Utama Haji Mohamad Haji Hasan, on August 31.
During the call on, the Foreign Minister of Malaysia conveyed heartfelt condolences and expressed solidarity with the Government and people of Nepal. He expressed Malaysia’s readiness to provide further assistance in response to Nepal’s identified needs.
Minister Khanal expressed sincere appreciation for Malaysia’s timely support and shared the Government of Nepal’s ongoing efforts for the search, rescue, relief and recovery efforts, with the continued search for missing persons.
Minister Khanal assured close coordination with the Embassy of Malaysia in Kathmandu and timely sharing of verified information concerning Malaysian nationals affected by the disaster.
