Foreign Ministry Holds Final Round of Virtual Interaction with Missions in Europe and the Americas

Kathmandu: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs organised the third and final round of its virtual interaction series with Nepali diplomatic missions, this time with those based in Europe and the Americas, which concluded on April 20.
Delivering his opening remarks, Foreign Secretary Amrit Bahadur Rai highlighted the importance of technology-based service delivery and effective economic diplomacy in advancing the Government’s two key priorities: good governance and economic growth. He underscored the need for missions to strengthen digital service delivery and enhance economic engagement with host countries.
During the programme, Ambassadors, Permanent Representatives, Consuls General and Chargés d’Affaires briefed on their major engagements, opportunities for enhanced collaboration and cooperation, as well as the status of service delivery and participation in various international forums.
Minister for Foreign Affairs Shisir Khanal emphasised the Government’s core priorities of ensuring good governance through improved service delivery and promoting economic prosperity through economic diplomacy. He instructed the missions to align their efforts accordingly and further enhance service delivery through innovation and digitalisation.
The programme was conducted by Joint Secretary Ganesh Prasad Dhakal, Head of the Europe Division at the Ministry.
