Kathmandu: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs on June 29 hosted the 5th Edition of the Prof. Yadu Nath Khanal Lecture Series in Kathmandu on the theme “Foreign Policy of Nepal: Navigating Geopolitical and Geoeconomic Trends.” In his keynote address, Former Prime Minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai reflected on the profound shifts reshaping the international order- intensifying major-power competition, the growing role of economic instruments and technology in global affairs, and what these mean for Nepal’s foreign policy choices.
Delivering the concluding remarks, Hon. Foreign Minister Mr Shisir Khanal underscored that Nepal must approach this evolving environment with clarity, confidence and prudence- with foreign policy firmly anchored in national interest while serving the aspirations of our people. Hon. Ministers, Members of Parliament, former ministers, heads of diplomatic missions, and distinguished guests attended the event.
