Kathmandu: Foreign Secretary of Nepal, Amrit Bahadur Rai met with H.E. Baroness Winterton, UK Minister for the Indo-Pacific, at the Ministry on September 2.
Minister Winterton conveyed her deepest condolences to the Government and people of Nepal on the huge loss of lives and massive destruction of properties caused by devastating flood in Bhote Koshi river.
They discussed ongoing search, rescue and recovery efforts in the aftermath of the devastating flood.
Secretary Rai thanked Minister Winterton for the UK Government’s solidarity and offer of assistance to Nepal for relief and post disaster recovery. Minister Winterton also signed the condolence book at the Ministry.
