Kathmandu: Udo Volz, Ambassador of Germany to Nepal, paid a courtesy call to Biraj Bhakta Shrestha, Minister of Energy, Water Resources, and Irrigation, where he congratulated him and conveyed his best wishes for a successful tenure.
Together with the German development cooperation agencies, KfW and GIZ, he also took the opportunity to share updates on the energy sector collaboration. The German side reaffirmed its commitment to clean energy. Germany has long been a valued partner in Nepal’s energy sector, most recently marked by the groundbreaking of the Lekhnath–Damauli project last month with German grant assistance.
