German Ambassador Volz Visits the openIMIS Community Meeting in Kathmandu

Kathmandu: H.E. Udo Volz, Ambassador of Germany to Nepal, visited the openIMIS Community Meeting in Kathmandu on June 23.

OpenIMIS is an open source software that is used in Health Systems in 14 countries globally, reaching up to 40 million people. In Nepal, openIMIS is used by the Health Insurance Board and the Social Security Fund, thus being a tool to provide essential health services and universal health coverage, supported by German Technical Cooperation by GIZ Nepal.

OpenIMIS is a joint initiative by the German Government, the Embassy of Switzerland, and the European Union in Nepal. The Embassy of Germany thanked their partners as well as the Ministry of Health and Food Security of Nepal for the longstanding and trustful partnership.
