Kathmandu: A new school building of Shree Diding Basic School in Chichila Rural Municipality–3, Sankhuwasabha district of Koshi Province, constructed with financial assistance from the Government of India, was jointly inaugurated on December 18.
The building was inaugurated by Basist Nandan, First Secretary at the Embassy of India in Kathmandu, and Pasang Nurbu Sherpa, Chairman of Chichila Rural Municipality. The project was implemented as a High Impact Community Development Project (HICDP) through the Chichila Rural Municipality.

Shree Diding Basic School, established in 1962, provides education from Early Childhood Development (ECD) to Grade 5. Local representatives, school management, and stakeholders appreciated the support provided by the Government of India, expressing confidence that the new infrastructure will improve the learning environment and strengthen education in the area.
India and Nepal continue to cooperate across multiple sectors, and the implementation of HICDPs reflects India’s ongoing support for Nepal’s development efforts, particularly in strengthening grassroots-level infrastructure in priority sectors.
