Indian Ambassador Srivastava Pays Courtesy Call to Health Minister Mehta

Kathmandu: Naveen Srivastava, Ambassador of India to Nepal, paid a courtesy call to Nisha Mehta, Minister for Health and Population, in the Ministry on May 12.

On the occasion, they discussed the historical and intense relationship between Nepal and India for centuries and the diverse dimensions of bilateral cooperation in the health sector. Ambassador Srivastava expressed his best wishes to Minister Mehta for her successful appointment as Health Minister while Minister Mehta expressed her heartfelt gratitude for the continuous support and harmony received from the Government of India in the development of health, drinking water and sanitation sector of Nepal.

During the meeting, there was a positive discussion on the reinforcement of national level major health science institutions, establishment of specialized treatment centers and development of overall health infrastructure in the coming days, making Indian cooperation more strong and effective.
