Kathmandu: The Embassy of India, in collaboration with the Ayurveda Campus of Tribhuvan University (TU), organized a yoga session at the University premises. The session was done as a precursor to the 12th International Day of Yoga.
The event was graced by Dr. Sushil Bahadur Bajracharya, Vice Chancellor of TU, as the Chief Guest. Faculty members, students, and yoga enthusiasts came together to celebrate yoga’s timeless message of health, harmony and holistic wellbeing.
The yoga session was followed by an Ayurveda Expo, jointly inaugurated by the Vice Chancellor and Chief of Ayurveda Campus, Dr. Shiva Mangal Prasad, and First Secretary of the Embassy, Niraj Kumar Jha. The Expo showcased a wide range of Ayurvedic products, along with samples of medicinal herbs and plants used in the preparation of Ayurvedic medicines. It attracted enthusiastic participation from students from various schools across Kathmandu, as well as Ayurveda practitioners and enthusiasts.
The program also featured a public lecture titled “Ayurveda for Psychological Wellbeing,” which explored the significant role of Ayurvedic principles and practices in promoting mental health, emotional resilience, and holistic well-being. The lecture emphasized the relevance of Ayurveda in addressing contemporary psychological challenges and fostering a balanced and healthy lifestyle.
