Iranian Ambassador Fathali Pays Courtesy Call on Foreign Minister Khanal

Kathmandu: Mohammad Fathali, Non-resident Ambassador of Iran to Nepal, paid a courtesy call on Foreign Minister Shisir Khanal, at the Ministry on May 22. 

During the programme, they exchanged views on the current situation in West Asia and the ongoing efforts to restore peace and stability in the region. 

Matters relating to strengthening bilateral relations between Nepal and Iran were discussed on the occasion.

Foreign Minister Khanal urged Ambassador Fathali’s support for the expedited process in the case of Amrit Jha, who is currently in Iranian custody. The Ambassador assured of serious follow-up on the matter from his side.
