Kathmandu: Shimada Tomoaki, Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, received a courtesy call from Dr. Durga Bahadur Subedi, Ambassador of Nepal to Japan, who is soon completing his tenure.
Vice-Minister Shimada expressed appreciation for Ambassador Subedi’s longstanding contributions to strengthening Japan–Nepal relations during his term. Ambassador Subedi congratulated Vice-Minister Shimada on his appointment and expressed his commitment to continue supporting bilateral ties even after leaving office.
The two also held friendly discussions on ways to further enhance cooperation between the two countries, particularly as Japan and Nepal prepare to mark the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations next year.
