Korean Alpine Federation Organizes Welcoming Ceremony for an Expedition Team

Kathmandu: The Korean Alpine Federation (KAF) organized a welcoming ceremony for an expedition team set to climb SAT Peak (6,220m) in the Himalayas. The event was held in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation in Nepal and the Korea-Nepal Tourism and Trekking Operators Association of Nepal (KOTTAN).

On the occasion, Park Taeyoung, Ambassador of Korea to Nepal, expressed his hope for the team’s safe and successful ascent, noting that the expedition would contribute to expanding tourism and people-to-people exchanges between Nepal and Korea. 

Meanwhile, the expedition team, which will undertake the climb one month, reaffirmed its commitment to achieving a successful ascent and to strengthening exchange and cooperation between mountaineers of the two countries.
