Kathmandu: Park Taeyoung, Ambassador of South Korea to Nepal, attended the launch event of a platform, held as part of “From Dreams to Possibilities” campaign by Samsung Electronics on April 19. The campaign was designed to build a digital ecosystem aimed at improving financial infrastructure related to remittances to Nepal. The event brought together Samsung Electronics’ Nepal Office, which led the development of the platform, along with partner companies including IME, Golchha, Ncell, Khalti, and Triveni.
Ambassador Park emphasized that initiatives to strengthen the digital financial ecosystem will help connect migrant workers overseas with their families in Nepal and promote meaningful and practical improvements in the convenience and security of remittance services. He also expressed his hope that this initiative will contribute to achieving inclusive growth and shared prosperity between Nepal and Korea.
