Kathmandu: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) convened an interaction programme to deliberate on the effective operation of the Diaspora Expert Network and Knowledge Bank.
The discussion programme was chaired by Krishna Prasad Dhakal, Joint Secretary of the United Nations Division, who underscored the importance of strengthening institutional collaboration, enhancing the online portal and identifying potential areas for mobilising the expertise of Nepali diaspora members in support of national economic prosperity.
Pushparaj Bhattari, Joint Secretary of the the Labour Migration Division of the Ministry, outlined the objectives, emphasising its timely relevance in connecting diaspora expertise with national priorities.
Participants shared insights and recommendations on ensuring the effective implementation of the initiative.
The programme was attended by senior officials of the Ministry, as well as representatives from ministries, universities and institutions.
