Kathmandu: A national security training programme has begun at the Army Command and Staff College in Shivapuri, organized jointly by the Ministry of Defence Nepal and the Nepal Army.
The training was inaugurated by Ashok Raj Sigdel, Chief of Army Staff of Nepal.
The programme is being attended by representatives from various federal ministries, constitutional bodies, universities, media houses, as well as personnel from the Nepal Army, Nepal Police, Armed Police Force Nepal and the National Investigation Department.
On the occasion, Defence Secretary Kedarnath Sharma highlighted the importance of such training programmes in strengthening national security awareness and coordination among institutions.
The training, which began in 2072 BS, has so far seen the participation of 252 individuals and will continue until April 1.
