Nepal Airlines Corporation Celebrates 68th Anniversary Program

Kathmandu: The 68th anniversary program of the Nepal Airlines Corporation was completed on July 1. Held at the Corporation’s Central Office, Hon. Khadak Raj Paudel, Minister of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation, attended the annual celebration of the special function as Chief Guest. Secretary Mukund Prasad Niraula of the Ministry and Joint Secretary Jayanarayan Acharya of the Ministry were also present as Special Guests.

Before the occasion, a Walkathon program was done from the start of the corporation premises and returned back to the corporation through Judh Salik Chowk in New Road. The Walkathon was attended by corporation employees. 

Minister Paudel wished the corporation on the occasion of its anniversary. He emphasized that the good work done by the corporation will be fully supported by the Ministry and that all the employees of the corporation should perform their responsibilities efficiently.

Secretary Niraulajee, while wishing the corporation good luck, expressed the opinion that everyone has been paying attention to strengthen the corporation and that he is not disappointed  after reviewing the situation of the corporation.

Janakraj Kalakheti, Acting General Manager of NAC, informed about the current situation of the corporation. He mentioned that the corporation has been successful in showing many positive signs in spite of many challenges and obstacles and recently the number of passengers has increased and the income of the corporation has also increased. The corporation expressed its gratitude to everyone, stating that it is committed to moving forward with a clear vision for the future while learning from past experiences and being aware of the challenges of the present.

On this occasion, the anniversary special “Akash Bhairav”, published every year by the corporation, was also launched. A blood donation program was organized on June 12 at the central office of the Corporation and Tri.A.V. The corporation stated that in the blood donation program, a total of 264 people, including employees of the corporation, donated blood.
