Nepal Competes in International Traditional Archery Competitions in China

Kathmandu: Nepal participated in the Falcon Cup International Traditional Archery Invitational and the 10th ‘Zhengji Cup’ Archery Invitational held in Lijiang City, Yunnan Province, China.

According to the Kathmandu Zhengji Traditional Archery and Martial Arts Association, the competitions saw participation from 160 players representing countries such as Hungary, Thailand, Myanmar, and Nepal, along with various regions of China including Guangdong, Shandong, Chongqing, Anhui, Qinghai, Tianjin, Hong Kong, and Yunnan provinces like Kunming, Qujing, Fumin, Dali, Lijiang, and Shangri-La.

Rajiv Maharjan, Secretary of the Kathmandu Zhengji Traditional Archery and Martial Arts Association, represented Nepal in the events.

Maharjan said that the Sports Institute of Yunnan University, the Traditional Archery Association of Yunnan, and the Kunming Zhengji Archery Club have expressed their commitment to support the development of traditional archery, Wushu, and wrestling in Nepal.
