Kathmandu: Nepal, alongside 24 Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) States Parties, was elected as Vice-President of 2026 Review Conference of the Parties to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons that kicked off in UNHQ, New York on April 28.
Nepal Mission to the UN stated that as the world faces a persistent threat of nuclear weapons, Nepal remains committed to the NPT as a cornerstone of global nuclear disarmament, non-proliferation and peaceful uses of nuclear energy & technologies for greater good of humanity.
