Kathmandu: Nepal Embassy in New Delhi in partnership with the Global India Business Forum organised the Nepal–India Economic Forum in Pune on 26 June 2026.
CdA (Charge d’ Affaires) Dr. Surendra Thapa delivered the keynote remarks and participated in a panel discussion on strengthening bilateral trade, investment and private-sector cooperation.
Dr. Thapa highlighted emerging opportunities in Nepal’s tourism, manufacturing, Ayurvedic products and artificial intelligence sectors. He also encouraged Indian businesses to pursue responsible, sustainable and long-term investment in Nepal.
The Forum explored practical avenues for cooperation in inbound and outbound tourism, Ayurvedic product manufacturing, digital transformation and AI-enabled solutions. It also provided a valuable platform to connect Nepal’s development priorities with the expertise, technology and entrepreneurial capacity of Pune’s private sector, while advancing mutually beneficial economic engagement between Nepal and India.
