Nepal Promotes Tourism at ITB Berlin 2026

Kathmandu: The Nepal Tourism Board (NTB), with the objective of promoting Nepal as a premium holiday destination in Europe, is participating in the 60th edition of Internationale Tourismus-Börse Berlin (ITB Berlin), being held from 3–5 March 2026 in Berlin, Germany.

NTB, together with 31 experienced tourism companies including airlines, hotels, travel and tour operators, is showcasing Nepal’s diverse tourism offerings at ITB Berlin, the world’s leading travel trade show. Nepal’s pavilion is located at Hall 5.2, Stand No. 124, where NTB and its participating companies are engaging with international buyers, tour operators, travel agents and media representatives.

Germany remains one of Nepal’s key European source markets and currently ranks ninth among the top international visitor-generating countries for Nepal. This highlights the strategic importance of Nepal’s continued presence at ITB Berlin to strengthen market engagement and expand tourism opportunities.

Nepal’s participation in ITB 2026 underscores its commitment to strengthening partnerships in key European markets and expanding its global tourism footprint. The delegation is promoting Nepal’s unique blend of nature, culture, adventure, wellness, spirituality and luxury experiences, with a special emphasis on sustainable tourism practices and responsible travel.

According to the NTB Chief Executive Officer, the participation of a strong contingent of 31 private-sector destination management companies reflects robust public-private collaboration aimed at generating quality business leads, strengthening long-term partnerships and promoting high-value tourism to Nepal. From the Himalayan peaks to authentic cultural and immersive travel experiences, Nepal continues to offer memorable journeys for travelers seeking both adventure and tranquility.

The NTB CEO will also participate in a special segment of ITB, “ITB Spati,” at Hall 7.2C on 4 March 2026, where he will deliver a destination pitch titled “Nepal: Paving Paths for Responsible Tourism and Product Diversification.” The presentation will highlight new tourism products focusing on Trail-Based Tourism and the Sustainable Tourism Project.

As part of the official program, a Business-to-Business (B2B) networking event will be organized on the evening of 3 March 2026 in collaboration with the Embassy of Nepal in Berlin. The event will provide an exclusive platform for interaction between Nepali tourism stakeholders and international travel trade professionals, facilitating engagement, promoting Nepal’s tourism products and strengthening bilateral tourism cooperation.

With Nepal’s growing popularity in Germany and the longstanding historical ties between the two countries, ITB Berlin serves as an ideal platform to promote Nepal as a safe, adventurous and diverse destination while providing the latest information to German outbound tour operators, media representatives and travel professionals.

German travelers are among Nepal’s key high-value visitors, particularly for trekking and adventure tourism. Nepal offers a wide range of premium and immersive experiences, including trekking, rafting, paragliding, ultralight flights, skydiving, bungee jumping, canyoning, ziplining, cable-car rides and mountain biking. In addition, Nepal’s rich cultural diversity allows visitors to experience vibrant festivals, heritage sites and authentic local traditions.

With pleasant weather, well-curated itineraries, a dynamic travel industry and the renowned warmth of Nepali hospitality, Nepal’s tourism sector stands ready to welcome visitors and offer once-in-a-lifetime experiences.

International buyers, travel trade professionals and media representatives are invited to visit Nepal’s Stand No. 124 at Hall 5.2 during ITB 2026 to explore partnership opportunities and discover the latest tourism products and experiences from Nepal.
