Nepal Showcases Culture and Nature at Guangzhou Library Exhibition

Kathmandu: The Consulate General of Nepal in Guangzhou, in collaboration with Guangzhou Library, inaugurated the month-long exhibition “Across the Himalayas: The Symphony of Nature and Culture” at the library’s Multiculture Hall. The event will run from August 9 to September 8, 2025.

Guangzhou Library Director General Wu Cuihong emphasized the importance of cultural exchange in strengthening Nepal–China relations, while Nepal’s Consul General in Guangzhou, Bharat Khanal, highlighted Nepal’s natural beauty and cultural diversity.

The exhibition features vivid displays of Nepal’s landscapes, paintings, thankas, handicrafts, fabrics, singing bowls, wood carvings, festivals, and heritage. A guided tour and a “Living Book Sharing Salon” with Consul General Khanal offered visitors personal insights into Nepal’s history, culture, and harmony with nature.

Around 200 attendees, including government officials, diplomats, cultural enthusiasts, Nepali diaspora members, and media representatives, joined the opening ceremony.
