Kathmandu: The Consulate General of Nepal in Guangzhou in coordination with Nepal Tourism Board organized a Nepal tourism promotion and B2B networking program under the theme “Nepal: A Lifetime Experience” in Shenzhen on May 20. Around 80 participants from media, travel trade, business, and NRN communities attended the event held at The Ritz-Carlton, Shenzhen.
Bharat Khanal, Consul General of Nepal in Guangzhou, highlighted Nepal–China diplomatic relations, shared cultural values, and tourism prospects. Wang Tao, Vice President of Shenzhen Tourism Association and Executive President of Shenzhen Travel Agency Industry Association, expressed commitment to expanding tourism cooperation between Nepal and Shenzhen.
Bimal Kadel, Senior Manager of Nepal Tourism Board, delivered a destination presentation on Nepal’s unique tourism experiences and growing wellness tourism opportunities including yoga and meditation. The presentation also highlighted the Government of Nepal’s declaration of “Nepal Wellness Year 2027” and Nepal’s observance of Wellness Day on 15 April as adopted by the United Nations.
