Kathmandu: Nepal is set to host an international conference on the country’s economy and geopolitical dynamics under the title ‘Bodhi Dialogue’.
Organized by the Center for Social Innovation and Foreign Policy (CESIF), the four-day conference will be held in Kathmandu from June 16 to 19.
Speaking at a press conference on June 9, CESIF Chairperson and former ambassador Vijay Kant Karna shared that the event will bring together Nepali and international experts to discuss Nepal’s economic development prospects and the evolving geopolitical landscape of South Asia.
According to the organizers, the Bodhi Dialogue aims to serve as a platform for in-depth and forward-looking discussions on economic, political and geopolitical transformations. Karna informed that the recommendations emerging from the conference will be documented and submitted to the government. He added that the conference has been named Bodhi Dialogue to reflect Nepal’s indigenous knowledge traditions and to support the government’s soft diplomacy initiatives.
