Kathmandu: Nepal Tourism Board was honored with the prestigious Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) Long Standing Membership Award in recognition of its 60 years of association and contribution to the PATA on May 11.
The award was presented during the PATA Annual Summit 2026 being held in Gyeongju and Pohang, Republic of Korea. The honour was received on behalf of Nepal Tourism Board by Rohini Khanal, Officiating Director of NTB.
The recognition reflects Nepal Tourism Board’s long-standing engagement with PATA and its continued commitment towards strengthening regional tourism cooperation, sustainable tourism development, and global tourism promotion.
On the occasion, Nepal’s private tourism sector was also recognised. Yeti Travels for 60 years of partnership and Suman Pandey, PATA life members were honoured with awards during the ceremony, highlighting Nepal’s active contribution and leadership within the regional tourism industry.
The PATA Annual Summit 2026 has brought together tourism leaders, policymakers, industry experts, and stakeholders from across the Asia Pacific region to discuss the future of resilient and sustainable tourism.
