Kathmandu: The Nepali Army has won the gold medal with the highest score in the Exercise Cambrian Patrol 2025, held in Brecon, Wales, United Kingdom, from October 9 to 11.
A total of 117 teams from 33 countries, including the United Kingdom, took part in the prestigious international military exercise.
The Nepali Army has been participating in the Cambrian Patrol, which has been organized annually since 1960, since 2014. The competition tests participants’ endurance, leadership, and tactical skills as they cover a 50-kilometre route while carrying weapons, equipment, and supplies weighing about 50 pounds. Teams are evaluated on various military tasks, including planning, reconnaissance, navigation, and casualty management.
With this victory, the Nepali Army has once again demonstrated its professionalism and excellence on the global stage. The Army had previously won gold medals in 2017, 2019, and 2024.
