Nepali NCC Cadet Delegation Begins India Visit to Strengthen Youth Ties

Kathmandu: A delegation comprising two officers and sixteen National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadets from Nepal has begun an official visit to India from 12 to 23 November 2025, aimed at strengthening the longstanding friendship and youth-to-youth ties between the two neighbouring countries.

The visiting team met with Director General of NCC India, Lieutenant General Virendra Vats, in New Delhi on Wednesday. During the interaction, Vats welcomed the Nepali delegation and highlighted the importance of youth engagement in fostering mutual understanding, cultural exchange, and cooperation between India and Nepal.

The two-week visit is part of the ongoing partnership and exchange programmes between the NCC organisations of the two countries. Throughout their stay, the Nepali cadets will engage with Indian NCC cadets, participate in joint activities, and exchange experiences on leadership, discipline, and community service.

The delegation will also tour major historical and cultural sites in India, offering them deeper insight into India’s heritage, traditions, and shared values that connect both nations. The visit is expected to further strengthen people-to-people relations while enhancing cross-border camaraderie among young leaders.
