Nepal’s PR Thapa meets USG Fatima in New York

Kathmandu: Nepal’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Lok Bahadur Thapa, met Rabab Fatima, the UN’s Under Secretary General and High Representative for Least Developed Countries, Landlocked Developing Countries, and Small Island Developing States, in New York.

According to Nepal’s PR office, they discussed various issues.

After the meeting, USG Fatima posted on X: “A pleasure as always to meet Lok Bahadur Thapa, Nepal, PR, and LCD Chair to discuss DPoA progress, LLDC3 preparation and LDC priorities for FFD4. Grateful to NepalUNNY for its leadership as LDC Chair, and I look forward to working closely with him advance DPOA and APOA implementation.”

PR Thapa replied to her, stating, “Delighted indeed to have in-depth discussions on how we can further deepen our cooperation and collaboration to advance the implementation of DPoA as well as Nepal’s graduation from LDC status.”
