Kathmandu: The staff of the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Kathmandu welcomed Ambassador-designate Ruwanthi Delpitiya as she officially assumed her duties at the Embassy on October 13, 2025.
Ambassador-designate Delpitiya, a Grade I career diplomat of the Sri Lanka Foreign Service (2003 batch), expressed her commitment to further strengthening the longstanding friendship between Sri Lanka and Nepal and to exploring new areas of cooperation.
The Embassy stated that it looks forward to working together to deepen the close and enduring ties between the two countries.
