Kathmandu: Newly appointed UN Resident Coordinator (UNRC) to Nepal, Lila Pieters Yahia, paid a courtesy call on Foreign Secretary Amrit Bahadur Rai at Singhadurbar on February.
Welcoming Yahia, the Foreign Secretary congratulated her on her appointment and appreciated the United Nations’ continued support as a longstanding development partner in Nepal’s socio-economic transformation. He acknowledged the UN’s contributions in advancing Nepal’s development priorities and promoting sustainable growth.
During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on further strengthening the Nepal–UN partnership, reaffirming their shared commitment to enhancing cooperation across key development areas.
