Kathmandu: As Nepal continues to deal with the consequences of the Bhotekoshi floods, European solidarity remains strong. The first flight carrying assistance donated by Norway through the EU Civil Protection Mechanism landed in Nepal, delivering medical, energy and technical equipment on September 7.
At the airport, EU ECHO’s Rapid Response Coordinator Asia and Pacific Isabelle D’Haudt formally handed over the shipment to the Honourable Mahabir Pun. This marks an important step in the ongoing international response, with more flights from participating countries are expected to arrive later this week.
The EU stated that the arrival of this support reflects the continued commitment of European partners to stand with Nepal during this difficult time
