Kathmandu: The Embassy of Norway conducted a field visit to Madhesh and Koshi provinces together with UNDP Nepal to follow up on the Provincial and Local Governance Strengthening Programme (PLGSP) and the Parliamentary Support Project (PSP).
The governance team met with provincial leadership, local governments, and parliamentarians to gain deeper insights into progress, challenges, and priorities in Nepal’s federal transition.
A key takeaway was the encouraging progress in digital governance and service delivery, reflecting strong alignment with the Government’s governance reform priorities. Municipalities are transitioning from manual systems to integrated digital platforms – enhancing transparency, efficiency, and citizen access.
