NTB Joins Hands with TikTok to Strengthen Nepal’s Tourism Presence

Kathmandu: The Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) joined hands with TikTok to empower Nepal’s tourism community through a three-day Travel Content Creation Workshop under #visitNepal initiative in Kathmandu from June 24 to June 26. 

The workshop brought together tourism professionals, travel content creators, trekking guides, mountaineers, tourism entrepreneurs, and tourism media representatives. NTB stated that the workshop aims to strengthen digital storytelling skills and promote Nepal’s breathtaking natural beauty, rich cultural heritage, and diverse tourism experiences to global audiences through authentic and engaging content.

Speaking on the occasion, Hikmat Singh Ayer, Officiating CEO of NTB, emphasized the growing role of digital platforms in inspiring travel and shaping destination choices. He noted that the collaboration with TikTok will help strengthen Nepal’s digital tourism presence and showcase authentic stories from across the country to the world.

Sunil Sharma, Spokesperson of NTB, highlighted that content creators are playing an increasingly important role in connecting travelers with destinations. He expressed confidence that the initiative will empower Nepal’s tourism stakeholders and creators with the skills needed to tell compelling stories and contribute to the growth of tourism and the digital economy.

The workshop featured interactive learning sessions, practical guidance on short-form video creation, audience engagement, digital storytelling, and responsible content development, helping participants leverage digital platforms to reach wider audiences and inspire travel to Nepal.
