Kathmandu: The Embassy of Pakistan in Nepal inaugurated the “Pakistan-Nepal Children Park” at Ward No. 8, Budhanilkantha Municipality, Kathmandu, on June 27. Ambassador of Pakistan to Nepal, Abrar H Hashmi, attended the event as the Chief Guest.
The ceremony was also attended by Mitharam Adhikari, Mayor of Budhanilkantha Municipality, along with other local leaders and community members, including Binod Thapa, Hira Prasad Gupta, Ram Prasad Upadhaya, Siromani Sharma, media representatives, and Embassy officials.
Ambassador Hashmi expressed appreciation for the partnership with Budhanilkantha Municipality in upgrading the park with a new play station, swings, and a walking track. He dedicated the park as a “gift from the children and people of Pakistan” to the children of the Gulftar community.
Local leaders and residents thanked the Embassy and Municipality for the renovation, expressing hope that the park would symbolize the lasting friendship between Nepal and Pakistan. This is the third park the Embassy has renovated in the last three years, aiming to create inclusive public spaces for all ages.
