PM Oli Highlights Importance of Connectivity for Landlocked Nations at LLDC3 Side Event

Kathmandu: The Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDCs) officially commenced on August 5 in Awaza, Turkmenistan.

Speaking at a side event during the conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC3), Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli emphasized that landlocked countries are “isolated by circumstance, not by choice,” and called for greater connectivity, terming it a matter of justice. He urged global cooperation to turn existing challenges into opportunities for shared prosperity.

On the sidelines of the conference, Prime Minister Oli also had the honour of a brief meeting with King Mswati III of Eswatini, furthering diplomatic engagement during the international gathering.
