Kathmandu: At the invitation of Foreign Secretary Amrit Bahadur Rai, Deputy Foreign Minister of Portugal (Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation) Ana Isabel Xavier will pay an official visit to Nepal from April 29 to May 1, 2026.
During her visit, Dr. Xavier is scheduled to hold a bilateral meeting with Foreign Secretary Rai and pay a courtesy call on Minister for Foreign Affairs Shisir Khanal on April 30.
According to the statement, the meetings will review the current status of Nepal–Portugal bilateral relations and explore new avenues of cooperation in areas of mutual interest between the two countries.
Dr. Xavier will be accompanied by the Non-resident Ambassador of Portugal to Nepal, João Ribeiro de Almeida, along with other officials.
