Kathmandu: Sushila Karki, the Prime Minister of Nepal, attended the closing ceremony of the 12th NRN Global Conference and the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) International General Assembly held in Kathmandu on Monday evening.
Addressing the ceremony, Prime Minister Karki congratulated the newly elected Executive Committee of the NRNA and extended her best wishes for a successful tenure.
She appreciated the significant role played by the NRNA in connecting the Nepali diaspora across the world and emphasised the importance of mobilising their knowledge, skills, capital and resources to contribute to Nepal’s economic wellbeing and overall development.

Minister for Foreign Affairs Bala Nanda Sharma, who chaired the organising committee of the conference, also congratulated the newly elected Executive Committee and expressed gratitude to all concerned for their support and cooperation in making the event successful.
The three-day conference concluded with the adoption of the 12-point Kathmandu Declaration, outlining commitments to strengthen engagement with the Nepali diaspora and support Nepal’s development efforts.
