Prime Minister Shah on Telephone Conversation with Japan’s Prime Minister Takaichi

Kathmandu: Rt. Hon. Prime Minister Balendra Shah had a telephone conversation with the Prime Minister of Japan Takaichi Sanae on September 1. 

On the occasion, the Prime Minister of Japan conveyed her heartfelt condolences on the loss of lives caused by the devastating floods in Nepal and reaffirmed the readiness of the Government of Japan to extend support during this hour of difficulty.

PM Shah expressed his sincere thanks for the solidarity and support from the Government and people of Japan. He informed that the Government of Nepal is utilizing all resources at its disposal for the search, rescue and relief of the affected. He also assured that the search of the missing Japanese nationals would equally receive top priority.

September 1st marked the 70th anniversary of Nepal-Japan diplomatic relations, the Prime Minister of Nepal expressed confidence that the bilateral relations would be further strengthened in the days ahead.
