Russian House Congratulates Ram Bindu Shrestha for Reaching Final of International Eurasia Prize

Kathmandu: Nepali cultural activist and writer Ram Bindu Shrestha has reached the final of the International Eurasia Prize, with his project selected among the top 10 entries in the “Bridges of Friendship” category following an expert evaluation.

Shrestha is Vice President of Mitra Kunj and General Secretary of the Nepal-Russia Literary Society. The Russian House in Kathmandu congratulated him on his selection and wished him success in the final round.

As one of the finalists, Shrestha has been invited to Moscow to present and defend his project in person. The project presentations are scheduled for October 14, followed by the awards ceremony on October 15.

The “Bridges of Friendship” category recognises contributions to international cooperation in the social and cross-cultural spheres across Eurasia. The International Eurasia Prize is an international award recognising individuals and organisations for contributions to international cooperation, preservation of traditional values and the development of cultural ties.

According to the organisers, the prize seeks to recognise initiatives that contribute to the social and cross-cultural development of countries across the Eurasian continent, strengthen traditional spiritual and moral values and help overcome information barriers between Eurasian states.
