Shram Sansar App and Labor Approval Legalization System Launched

Kathmandu: Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba and Minister for Labor, Employment and Social Security Sharat Singh Bhandari jointly launched the Shram Sansar App and the Legalization of Labor Approval System at a program held in Singha Durbar, Kathmandu.

The Shram Sansar App aims to collect detailed information on Nepali migrant workers abroad using the latest technology. The app is expected to make it easier to access information and deliver essential services, including emergency assistance and rescue operations.

Similarly, the new Labor Approval Legalization System allows Nepali workers who reached their destination countries without official labor approval before September 30, 2024, to obtain labor approval through Nepali missions abroad.

Speaking at the event, Minister Bhandari stated that the initiatives aim to protect the rights and welfare of Nepali migrant workers and ensure they receive necessary support from the government.

The program was attended by Foreign Secretary Amrit Bahadur Rai, senior officials from both ministries, as well as ambassadors and representatives from major labor destination countries.

The app will be jointly managed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Security, with regular updates from Nepali embassies abroad. The Shram Sansar App is currently available on the Google Play Store and will soon be launched on iOS.
