South Korean Ambassador Visits UNDP Green Job Project in Pokhara

Kathmandu: The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Nepal welcomed Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Nepal, Park Tae-young, to the Green Job Creation through Recycling and Upcycling (GCRU) project in Pokhara.

During the visit, Ambassador Park and the embassy delegation held discussions on project activities and the construction of the Green Venture Zone (GVZ). He praised the initiative as an effective environmental programme contributing to environmental improvement through recycling and upcycling.

The ambassador also appreciated the strong participation of women, youth-focused engagement and the project’s clear vision for developing a sustainable Green Venture Zone.

The GCRU project is implemented by UNDP with the support of the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and in coordination with Pokhara Metropolitan City. The project aims to promote green jobs, innovation and climate-responsive solutions.
