Kathmandu: Ambassador-designate of Sri Lanka Ruwanthi Delpitiya met with a delegation from the Nepal-Sri Lanka Friendship Association, led by Chairman Joy Dewan, on November 10, 2025, at the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Kathmandu.
The meeting focused on enhancing tourism cooperation between the two countries, promoting two-way tourism, and strengthening people-to-people ties. Discussions also covered ways to expand trade and economic collaboration, with the Embassy encouraging the Association and its members to explore more trade opportunities with Sri Lanka.
The Embassy shared promotional materials for the upcoming Sri Lanka Expo 2026, describing it as a key platform to promote trade and investment opportunities, and invited the Association to participate in the event.
Minister Chameera Munasinghe and Commercial Officer Bibek Wosti also attended the meeting.
