Kathmandu: Switzerland and Nepal signed an Agreement on the Swiss Contribution to the Transitional Justice Trust Fund by Swiss Ambassador to Nepal, Danielle Meuwly, and Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Finance, Dhaniram Sharma, in the presence of Ambassador Markus Leitner, Head of the Asia and Pacific Division at the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs.
The agreement reflected Switzerland’s long-standing support to Nepal’s peace process and its continued commitment to promoting accountability, reconciliation, and inclusive justice. At a time of important transition, this contribution aims to strengthen survivor-centred approaches through psychosocial counselling and enhanced institutional capacity, reaffirming the shared dedication of both countries to strengthening trust and sustainable peace.
