The 71st Anniversary of Nepal-China Relations Marked

Kathmandu: The 71st anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Nepal and China was marked on August 1. “Today marks the 71st anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Nepal and China. Over the past 71 years, the two countries have enjoyed enduring friendship, mutual respect and mutually beneficial cooperation,” Zhang Maoming, Chinese ambassador to Nepal, wrote on X. “China stands ready to work with Nepal to carry forward our traditional friendship and further advance the Strategic Partnership of Cooperation Featuring Ever-lasting Friendship for Development and Prosperity to bring more benefits to the people of our two countries.”

Embassy of Nepal in Beijing said that on the occasion of the 71st anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Nepal and China, Nepal remains firmly committed to further elevating the longstanding bonds of friendship, trust, and cooperation between the two close neighbors.

“Nepal continues to uphold the values and principles that have guided centuries-old ties and looks forward to deepening economic partnership and fostering a people-centered relationship that addresses the aspirations and interests of the people of both countries,” the embassy said.
