The ‘Janti Dhunga’ Area is Becoming a Center of Tourist Attraction

Dang: Lately, Janti Dhunga, located in Tulsipur sub-metropolitan city-13, has become a center of attraction for tourism.

The popularity of Janti Dhunga has increased day by day as people who go to observe the place take pictures and make ‘posts’.

The importance of the area has been highlighted as there are thousands of stones in the same place, carved by Siddhahast sculptor. The thousands of stones in the Jhankri Dhunga community forest area are known by the name ‘Jantidhunga’ among the locals. There is a legend that in ancient times, people who went to that place for marriage were ‘married’.

The local people say that the stones that are seen in different shapes are the people who were bereaved and the bride and groom at that time. “When we were young, we should not walk this road, it is a place of destruction, we too will get lost,” said local Liladhar Bhattarai, “that’s why we didn’t walk this road either.”

At that time, the people took rest in the evening and in the morning they were confused about the same apple, he said, “Recently, public interest and curiosity has increased towards it. The number of people coming to observe it has increased rapidly in recent days.”

Locals say that if the institute is properly promoted, it can become an important tourist spot in the country. For the protection of that area, Jantihunga Sankarshan Samiti has also been formed. With the increase in the number of tourists, temporary shops and physical infrastructure work has progressed. According to Thaniya Jageshwar Wali, the number of people reaching there is increasing in recent days.

It has been found that there are such stones in the hill of Jhankri Dhunga Community Ban on the border of Tulsipur sub-metropolis 13 and 14. If it is possible to protect and build a view tower along with the expansion of that area, it will be possible to observe many parts of neighboring districts including Dang.
