Kathmandu: Paul Kapur, U.S. Assistant Secretary for South and Central Asia, arrived in Kathmandu on April 20 for a three-day official visit. Chargé d’Affaires a.i. at the U.S. Embassy in Kathmandu, Scott Urbom, welcomed Assistant Secretary Kapur in Nepal.
He is the first international official guest to travel in Kathmandu after the new government was formed under Prime Minister Balendra Shah.
According to the embassy, Assistant Secretary Kapur will engage with Nepali senior government officials, business leaders, and cultural experts to further strengthen the U.S.-Nepal partnership.
