Kathmandu: UAE delivered its fourth humanitarian aid flight to Kathmandu on September 8. The flight carried about 38 tonnes of supplies including 500 tents and 108 relief packages. This brings the UAE’s total air-delivered aid to Nepal to roughly 186 tonnes since the devastating floods and landslides struck.
The UAE is also sourcing some supplies locally from the Nepalese market to speed up delivery, and a Dubai Police search-and-rescue team remains active in the affected regions. Nepal’s Minister for Science, Technology and Innovation, Hon. Mahabir Pun, welcomed the continued support.
